Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using PlotUI ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "You" means the individual or entity registering for the Service.

2. The Service

PlotUI provides an AI-powered in-app support widget that allows founders to deploy a conversational assistant to their product's end-users. The Service includes a CLI for scanning repositories, a dashboard for managing knowledge graphs, and an embeddable JavaScript widget. We operate on a best-effort basis — see our Limitations page for an honest account of what the Service can and cannot do.

3. Your obligations

• You must not use the Service for illegal purposes or to violate any laws.
• You must not attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you publish in your knowledge graph.
• You must not embed the widget in a product you do not own or control.
• You are responsible for notifying your end-users that an AI assistant is in use on your product.

4. Accounts and billing

Free tier accounts are available indefinitely. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. Refunds are at our discretion; contact hello@plotui.com within 7 days of a charge.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the free tier (e.g., automated scripting to circumvent query limits).

5. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your knowledge graph content. You grant us a limited licence to process and store that content in order to operate the Service. We retain ownership of the PlotUI platform, software, and brand.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI answers may be incorrect — see our Limitations. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for how your end-users rely on widget answers.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Polara Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amounts paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Dashboard → Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms with reasonable notice, or immediately if your use endangers the Service or other users.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Polara Technologies is incorporated. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration before resorting to litigation, except for injunctive relief.
